This is my latest song. I just thought I'd stop with the bass and write a song for the guitar just once. I also wrote a bass line to go along with this song, so I might add that in later... as well as drums. I'm actually a decent drummer.

I'll bet you guys are wondering a little bit about the title of the song. Well, "The Promise of a New Day" means that there is always second chances. No matter how much I screw up today, I always have a chance for repentance. I can always change. New starts exist. It is never too late for rebirth. I felt that the mood of the song was rather happy. It seemed to convey that feeling... hence the title.

Also, if there are any guitarists out there wanting to play this song, I suppose I could share the chords. Btw, it's in standard tuning:

The verse starts with an alternation between a G and a modified G... for the chord, the fingers on the E and A strings just move down to the A and D strings (I think there's a name for this chord... but I forgot xD). After a few times of this, you change to a D (I do some other stuff, but thats all you need to know)

Then the chorus goes G, D, Em, and C if I remember correctly.

Then you go back to the verse, one more chorus, half of the verse, and end with C and G.
